Constructive Criticism?

Post  Rubiks on Wed Dec 23, 2009 10:33 am

Hey all,

Being bored and all, I've mocked up a couple of signatures.
I would be happy for some constructive criticism or just praise for my work :D

Nice art work you got there . I would give 10/10 because I'm not good in art work

Not bad, but the background for the second one is a little plain. Instead of just using brushes, try exploring more and using other stuff like filters and more.

Second one was based on a minimalistic design. I had no intention for it to be too cluttered with visual eye-candy.

Mmm I can tell, but maybe just add a little bit, with around 70% opacity?

I offer you but this Paragraph.

The vibrancy and delicacy of the signatures merge into a splendiferous atmosphere of mystery and darkness. Blending to create ultimate harmony while also blindly reconstructing loneliness with the black on black, and picture on picture. Resulting in highly abstract confinement, and ice to the freezing emptiness. Ultimately the the simplicity of the artwork gives the excitement of wonder.

Is it me or did that not make sense at all, well, at least in the context of the pictures....

I beg to differ, from what I've seen, he's only written it twice.

Nice work, you should aim for smaller signatures then there wouldn't have to be much open space to worry about.

No, he wrote it quite a few times, from what I recall.
Anyway, weren't those spaces there on purpose? o.o

Thats all there is to it. x.x

Its pretty empty, and you already said you wanted to keep it that way without the flashy eye candy, but maybe you should rethink that part and try to make it stand out a bit more using some effects.

Thanks for the advice. But seriously, I like it the way it is and it stands out well enough on the forum I use it for.

It's philosophical talk, but it does have some meaning if you look at the angle of which I am speaking at.

@Yeti, I write this everywhere. Not just in Art. Probably I've done this 50 times +

@Rubiks.
If you don't understand then.
All you need to need its very empty and dark.

Also in the second picture, he put Urahara over the effects, you can see just on the back ( According to the anime character ) you see a streak of effect. He purposely covered the effects.

*re-read*

No it doesn't.
1. Vibrancy and darkness don't usually go together. <<
2. There's no black on black? Picture on picture only slightly, where the bottom right of Ukitake may cover a bit of the fractal. <<
3. "Ultimately the the simplicity of the artwork gives the excitement of wonder." Are you a fob?
